Chemical Peels
As you know from our last newsletter we are doing chemical peels at Dr.
Sorensen's office. These peels are appropriate for patients with more
dramatic wrinkling, sun damage, and acne scarring. The results are
awesome! However, many of our clients have expressed interest but do
not have five days recovery time to set aside from work and
activities. For these clients we offer a variety of peels based on
skin type that require no down time and minimal peeling. These peels
will effectively treat acne, pigment disorders, aging skin, smoker's skin
and photo-damaged skin. Depending on the chosen peel they can be used
for super-sensitive skin types as well. Cost range from $65 - $270.
International Skin
Care Conference
We returned from the International Skin Care Conference in Las Vegas the
first of June. The education was exceptional! The hot topic was
a replacement for or enhancement to Botox injections. After many hours
of research with different manufacturers we chose a most effective product,
Wrinkle Relax. We also spent a significant amount of time with the
Physician's Choice group. This is the product line that we use at Dr.
Sorensen's.
Wrinkle Relax
A combination of two non-toxic anti-aging peptides chemically combined from
naturally derived amino acids. Helps prevent fine lines induced by
repeated facial movements without the loss of expression and increases
collagen and elastin production. Helps prevent premature aging.
Visible results within two weeks. For those who have Botox injections,
Wrinkle Relax helps to prolong the results.
Physician's Choice
Pigment Control
While in Las Vegas we studied treatment for Brown Spots and Sun
Damage. After returning we traveled to Salt Lake City for Advanced
Training on the same topic. Brown spots are a common problem for those
who have had excessive sun exposure, are taking synthetic hormones, or are
undergoing hormonal changes as a result of pregnancy or menopause.
Patients who start the Physician's Choice pHaze 13 Pigment Control program
start seeing results in two to three weeks, with continued improvement
thereafter.
